Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai Province, is a lovely little island that is a well-kept secret amongst locals, few foreigners know about it. Also known as Cu Lao Re, this tiny island, which only covers an area of 10 square kilometers is thought to have been created from five extinct volcanoes during the prehistoric age. It is famed in Vietnam for two quite different things; a unique type of garlic which it grows an abundance of and its stunning natural beauty including mountains, mysterious caves and stunning beaches. It also features many historical and cultural relics including temples and pagodas. A slow and peaceful pace of life further compliments the wild and unspoiled beauty of Ly Son Island.
Day 1: Da Nang - Ly Son (-/L/D) Departing from Da Nang, head to Quang Ngai Province, Ly Son Island can be reached by speed boat from Sa Ky fishing port. Have lunch before departing for Ly Son Island. Arrive at Ly Son, check-in hotel, later, visit Duc Pagoda, capture the sunset at To Vo Gate. To Vo Gate is an attractive site for visitors on this island. It is very interesting to see the sunset on the island and you can perceive the flow of time passing here. After walking around the island barefoot, we stop and enjoy seafood dinner. Overnight in Ly Son. Day 2: Ly Son - Da Nang (B/L/-) Wake up early and enjoy the beauty of sunrise. After breakfast, visit the Memorial House Of Parcel Team. Continue to explore Thoi Loi Mountain, looking down from the peak of the mountains, you can admire the spectacular colorful scenes. On one side, there is an immense field of green grass in the pan-shaped valley and on the other side, it is a combination of the blue ocean and the green garlic fields on white sand and red basalt soil. This island is also famous for garlic; the flavor of garlic here is different and very distinct. Tourists naturally choose the next stop, Hang Pagoda, as an ideal destination for relaxation.
