Danang International Marathon is the first professional international Marathon in Vietnam to be certified by the International Marathon Association (AIMS) and the World Athletics Federation (IAAF) in 2014. Participants’ results in the race are eligible to register for the world’s most prestigious marathons, including the Boston Marathon, London Marathon, New York City Marathon, Berlin Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and Tokyo Marathon.

Itinerary

Day 1: (22 Mar 2024) Da Nang (-/-/D)

Welcome to Da Nang - a dynamic, young and worth-living city with one of the world's most beautiful coastlines in Central Vietnam. After a long flight, you will have some time to loosen up and freely explore the city before the busy schedule ahead. In the evening, you will enjoy the magnificent view over the harbor and city in the Sun Wheel. After the ride, we will have a delicious dinner then hop on a boat at Bach Dang Wharf to journey along Han River with a great view of the unique bridges in Da Nang. It is definitely a great tour for experiencing the modern and sparkling vibe of Da Nang. Da Nang by night is very noisy and crowded with visitors from all over the world. The city with nine beautiful bridges designed with different models and these bridges have made up a “complex of distinct infrastructure” for Da Nang City. Nine bridges are brightly lighted and attract a lot of visitors. Each bridge has different features of architecture and style and all contribute to making the perfect picture for Da Nang City. Many activities are often celebrated in this city. Especially, taking a tour around the city at night, you can enjoy the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Day 2: (23 Mar 2024) Da Nang (B/L/-)

We will visit the Expo area of Da Nang International Marathon, where you will collect your race kit through fast lane service. Following that, you will join us on an adventure to scout the race route prior to the official race day, starting from the East Sea Park, then riding along My Khe beach, the Museum of Cham Sculpture, Da Nang Administrative Buildings and the 4 biggest and most iconic bridges of this city. This tour will also give you more insights of the conditions and you will know which part of the route is challenging or relaxing to prepare and plan your pace ahead. Later, we will enjoy local food at the Con Market and visit the Dragon Bridge, the iconic bridge of Da Nang City.

Day 3: (24 Mar 2024) Da Nang International Marathon (B/L/D)

It’s RACE DAY! We will take you to the track and there you will take part in the challenge of the marathon. After the race, we will return to the hotel and rest. Check-out. In the afternoon, The Marble Mountains are a cluster of five marble and limestone mountains which are named after the five elements. Stone steps carved into the mountain lead to a Buddhist Pagoda. You can also discover stunning caves and enjoy the beautiful view from the mountain top. Next, you will go to Am Phu Cave where there is a replica of “Heaven and Hell”, Marble Mountains are also home to Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village, which is a unique craft village. Situated at the foot of the Marble Mountains, this craft village has a proud history covering more than 200 years. We will head north to visit the Son Tra Peninsula. It is 693-meter high above sea level and 10-kilometer from the center of Da Nang City to the North-East. Pay a visit to Son Tra Linh Ung Pagoda, considered one of the biggest pagodas in Da Nang City. The most striking feature of this vast pagoda is its huge Lady Buddha statue, which is one of the tallest in Vietnam and spectacularly dominates the skyline. You can contemplate the whole city, Son Tra peninsula as well as the Marble Mountains along with white sand-bank. The beautiful landscape creates a unique impression that you cannot find in other places.

Day 4: (25 Mar 2024) Hoi An – National Park (B/L/D)

Bach Ma National Park has a diversity of flora and fauna as well as naturally beautiful landscapes to explore. Another interesting sight is the old villas that remain in the jungle despite being damaged in the American War and reclaimed by nature. Bach Ma is a great place for panoramic views of natural wonders including Cau Hai Lagoon and Chan May Port. Start hiking along to the path through the forest to the summit trail, which takes you a few kilometers past the Bach Ma Morin at the terminus of the park road. The trail continues to a pavilion with 360-degree views of the surrounding area, usually mist-shrouded and above the clouds. Back to Do Quyen Waterfall for trekking along a path through dense jungle (1.5 kilometers). Trekkers in the luck can see birds at close range along the foot trails where we will enjoy a picnic lunch. After an exciting day in Bach Ma, we will depart for Lang Co Beach and have seafood lunch there. With its gradually sloping, white sand beach, an average depth of less than 1 meter and the average temperature in the bathing season of 25oC, Lang Co is an ideal beach for tourists. In the evening, you will have a chance to emerge in with the atmosphere at the Hoi An Memories Show – a large-scale real-time show conveying the most authentic historical cultural values to the audience.

Day 5: (26 Mar 2024) Hoi An – Departure (B/-/-)

You will be met by our tour guide at your hotel and transferred by electric car to our parking lot where you learn and get familiar with how to ride on Electric Scooter. We head toward Cam Nam village to experience some hidden gems and charismatic locals of the daily life on this beautiful island. We make a visit to a boat repair yard to see and understand how hard work is involved in maintaining a fishing boat. We then take a short drive through the zig-zag village roads and make an en-route stop at a local family chapel to have a brief understanding of the spiritual and religious beliefs of a traditional Vietnamese family. Our next visits to local hand-make products from Hoi An: Lanterns and Leather workshops where you can have a DIY or a customized one.  We make another stop at a local cafe riverside overlooking Hoi An Ancient Town for brunch break. Afterward, keep going on our drive cutting through beautiful rice fields to Tra Que Village, where people planted herbs and vegetables organically by compost fertilizing from river weeds, we also can have a chance to see and join locals in making rice crackers. At the end of the tour, unwind at a stunning beach lounge of An Bang Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean with a refreshing drink.   Check out, then transfer to the airport for the departure flight.
