We will then take a paddle-boat to cruise through the narrow canals of the Mekong. One interesting thing about transportation in this region is that mostly everybody here travels by boats or ships because the number of canals is very interlaced. Here a system of transportation on water is developed so much. By travelling on canals, we can discover many distinct things such as along with the banks, a number of coconut trees grow side by side. The paddle-boat ride provides an interesting look into the local cottage industry of making coconut candies. We will then have a lunch of ‘Elephant-Ear Fish’ combined with other delicious Vietnamese dishes - a local specialty. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, which is recognized as a national historical and cultural relic with distinctive architectural and spiritual values, a place worth visiting should not be missed. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 17: Cu Chi Tunnels (B/-/-)

Cu Chi Tunnels, a network of tunnels stretching over 250 kilometers, have proven to be one of the most famous and historical aspects of the Vietnam War. The tunnel system was created in 1948 to assist the Viet Minh as they fought the French for independence. Digging and building of tunnels continued over the next 25 years until it was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storages, weapons factories, field hospitals and command centers. The tunnels could house thousands of people who lived almost entirely underground for years. There, people led relatively normal lives, which included getting married and raising children. During the American War, the entire area of Cu Chi was designated as a free fire zone; and was therefore, heavily attacked and bombed. In 1988, two sections of tunnels were opened up for visitors. Now you have the chance to enjoy this wonderful and informative experience. Created with “moving parts” these structures were designed to be livable for long periods of time. And for those who are interested, there is an opportunity for you to fire off rounds from a war era M16 or AK47 at the nearby firing range. (This activity is optional; fees for firing range are not included). Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

We spend a full day visiting the well-known Temples of Angkor Archaeological Park Wake up early at 05:00 am to witness the beautiful Sunrise at Angkor Wat or Ta Prohm, which is considered to be the most photographed temple within the Angkor complex. Constructed in the Bayon style between the late 12th and early 13th century, Ta Prohm was left pretty much untouched by archaeologists. Then back to the hotel for breakfast and continue the tour to visit Angkor Thom,. which translates to “Great City”. The city covers an area of 9sqm in which numerous breath‐taking monuments were built. The South Gate offers the grandest access to the city where the Victory Gate grants access on the East side, leaving the East Gate, which is also known as the Gate of the Death beautifully untouched in a very quiet part of the complex. The Terrace of the Elephants is a 300 meters long terrace that has three main platforms and two subsidiary ones. Likewise, the Terrace of Leper King was constructed in the 12th century. The curious name of this terrace refers to a statue of the Leper King that is on the platform of the terrace. Overnight in Siem Reap.

21 days THAILAND, LAOS, VIETNAM & CAMBODIA (Review from Expedia)

"Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh, Luang Prabang, and Chiang Mai were my favorite spots during this tour. Odynovo Tours turned out to be an excellent choice of tour operator for my trip to Southeast Asia. Wei Reinself was the tour operator and did a fabulous job in arranging what turned up to be a trip of a lifetime for me. Being a single woman, I was not sure at first about traveling alone in this part of the world. Odynovo, a true professional, eased me into this magnificent adventure I will never forget. Everything was done to make my time there a perfection, the memories I have of this trip will stay with me forever. I came out of this trip thinking for the first time that I will never travel with another company, thinking that I want to see more of the world but with Odynovo only. I have shared my experience with many of my female friends who are single and who are worried about traveling alone. From the minute I arrived to the minute I boarded my last plane for home, I can say without a single doubt that this was the best trip of my life. For the first time I was able to sit back and relax and let someone else take care of me, a true luxury, Thank you Odynovo!"

21 DAYS THAILAN, LAOS, VIETNAM & CAMBODIA (Review from Whatsapp)

I had taken the 21 day tour starting Feb 3. For my experience I had received most information through email and whatsapp. However sometimes I experienced miscommunication with hotel - the Hoi An Express then did their best to fix with the hotel about my room. The tour guides selected for each country knew English well and gave their recommendations and cultural knowledge and I was very satisfied with the activities and planned itinerary. Each hotel and driver was satisfactory. For free days I would advise sometimes people have to search for the activities themselves to save money/ whether they can just get a taxi themselves and eat at an authentic restaurant. I noticed in Saigon that after the puppet show we were taken to a very touristy restaurant that the food didn't taste as authentic as hoped. But overall, this tour is great, if you are planning last minute, and you want an experience where it is mostly hassle-free, with a driver and guide, this is for you. I felt like more days in Cambodia would have been nice to see more temples/ other aspects or other city of Cambodia , and even some more time in Laos. My highlight for trip was seeing Ha Long Bay, it was nice that I could also meet other people.

21 DAYS THAILAN, LAOS, VIETNAM & CAMBODIA (Review from Whatsapp)

"We enjoyed our journey in Southeast Asia. Transportation and hotels were good. Overall excursions were good. We didn't like floating market in Thailand. We would have enjoyed seeing temples in Bangkok better. The tour guides in Luang Prabang and Chaing Mai were very good. We also liked the tour guide on the boat in Ha Long Bay. We didn't like the restaurant after the water puppet show in Saigon. Most of the food during the trip was excellent. We will always remember our trip."

21 DAYS THAILAN, LAOS, VIETNAM & CAMBODIA (Review from Tour Email)

"Hi there - as requested, some feedback on our tour in November. Firstly, we were very happy and impressed that you had cancelled and rescheduled our tour twice due to COVID restrictions yet still honoured the original price. We appreciate that this must have been very costly and time consuming for you, and we are very grateful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would definitely give it 9/10. All of the tours and guides were excellent, and we were generally very pleased with the standard of accommodation and the places we stayed given the cost of the tour - excellent value for money. it was a great way of covering a lot of ground and exploring so many places and countries in a relatively short space of time. We have come back with lots of amazing memories! If we have any issues or suggestions for improvement, these would be as follows; 1 - The only hotel that for us really wasn't up to standard was the one in Ha Noi. Whilst the room was acceptable, the location was poor and very noisy and hectic. We also believe we got food poisoning from the hotel breakfasts here. 2 - We were a little disappointed that, having requested and paid for a first class upgrade on the Bangkok - Chiang Mai train, we were unable to have this - and that we could not have a refund either. It is sadly impossible to sleep on the train, particularly in the upper berths as there is so much light! Having said that, the upgraded hotel we were given in Hoi An was really lovely, one of the nicest places we've ever stayed. It would just have been nice to have had the choice... 3 - Upon arrival and early in the tour, communication could be a bit late or completely absent regarding our meeting time for the following morning. Once I think we were told to meet in half an hour and we hadn't even got out of bed at that point! We also had to actually ask what was happening next on a couple of occasions. This definitely improved as the tour went on, though. Overall we were extremely happy with your services and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Hoi An Express to anyone that asked us! Many thanks once again."
