Explore Vietnam’s UNESCO recognized mangrove forest reserve, in Ho Chi Minh City! Covering about 40 thousand hectares of planted and natural mangroves, this lush area is regarded as the “green lungs” of the city. Venture through its vastness on this tour, stopping off at a bird reserve, crocodile swamp and Monkey Island along the way.
Depart for Dan Xay Bridge where we will take a boat or canoe to visit the natural bird reserve at Vam Sat Eco-Tourist Zone when the bird nesting is at its peak season (from May to October). Vam Sat Salt-Marsh Forest Ecological Tourist Zone is located within a section of forest between the Vam Sat and Long Tau Rivers that was destroyed during the Vietnam War, now is regrown and protected as a wilderness park. We will also visit the crocodile swamp. The tour will continue with a trip to the bat lagoon before beginning our venture up to Tang Bong Tower at a height of 26 meters to take in the panoramic beauty of the biosphere reserve below. After conquering the tower, we will have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will depart for Forest Park (Monkey Island), where we will visit Can Gio Museum and Mangrove Forest Park Faun Conservation - filled with thousands of monkeys as well as saltwater crocodiles. After that, we will visit Mangrove Forest Ecosystem, which is useful in decreasing storm surge levels, reducing the height of waves and stabilizing sediments and Rung Sac Guerrilla Base, which represents a page of Vietnam history.
