A full-day tour that takes you on a journey of discovery through the Southern end of Phu Quoc Island. Includes visiting a Pearl Farm, Ham Ninh fishing Village, the infamous Coconut Prison, a Fish Sauce Factory, the most beautiful beach on the island (Bai Sao beach) and the biggest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc, Ho Quoc Pagoda.
Phu Quoc’s pearls are very famous in quality since the sea surrounding the island is the perfect breeding ground for these precious gems. During your visit to a Pearl Farm, you will gain a fascinating insight into the process of oyster cultivation which turns it from simple oyster to beautiful jewelry. We then visit Ham Ninh fishing village, the oldest village of this island and the best place to get fresh fish. Next, we will delve into the island’s darker history, with a visit to Coconut Prison, also known as Phu Quoc Prison. This terrible place was established during the French colonization of Vietnam in the 1940s and expanded in the 1960s by U.S-backed Southern Vietnamese troops in order to imprison Vietnamese soldiers. Sao beach, the place not to miss, will be our next point. With its soft white sand and turquoise sea, this beach is perfect for relaxing and swimming. Have lunch and visit the Fish Sauce Factory. "Nuoc mam Phu Quoc" - fish sauce which is still traditionally made in wooden containers is a very famous fish sauce in Vietnam. Finally, we will visit the biggest Buddhist temple in Phu Quoc, Ho Quoc Pagoda, beautifully located by mountain and sea.  What to bring: Sun cream, hat, flip flop or sandals, swimming suit, beach wearing, towel, camera.
