Loc Yen Ancient Village is voted as a National Monument in 2019 for its unique historical and cultural value, it is considered as one of Vietnam’s most beautiful ancient villages and it is easy to see why. Quietly tucked away amongst nature the wooden houses, stone alleys and fruit gardens transport you to a time that has been long forgotten.
Our trip commences in the morning as we head to Loc Yen Ancient Village, Tien Phuoc. Loc Yen village is famous for its architecture, rice fields, and mossy stone alleys. Visitors will have moments of peace and tranquility whilst cycling around the ancient village, between the green roads and green terraced fields. You will have the chance to visit Huynh Thuc Khang’s memorial house. There are 8 old houses left in Loc Yen, built 80-150 years ago. These houses are typical of “Nha Ruong” which were houses made of solid jackfruit wood beams and pillars. You will visit a house and meet the occupant so that you can learn about their life as well as the history of the village and house. Our tour continues with a rustic lunch with freshly picked ingredients from the host's garden. A visit to the O O waterfall is the next stop on the journey. Here, you may take in the stunning surroundings and observe the cascading water producing a 5-story waterfall in the center of the picture as it descends from a height of approximately 20 meters. View the untouched natural landscape and the uniquely shaped rock formations dotted amongst crystal-clear, chilly lakes. The cold rock pools and streams at O O waterfall are a great place to unwind and cool off. ** Please join us in minimizing plastic waste for environmental protection by carrying your own reusable water bottle or you can use our bamboo water bottle.
